The Richard Chatham Foundation, Inc is a non-profit group formed to raise funds to assist in additional training and education within the corps of cadets at Marion Military Institute (MMI) located in Marion Alabama. Within MMI, a student organization exists that serves cadets of only the highest character that exemplify Army values, the warrior work ethic, and the pursuit of excellence. They are called the Swamp Foxes.
The Swamp Foxes build a team that cares about each other and pushes each other to become better all around leaders. In the graduating class of 1982, Richard Chatham was the Swamp Fox commander. The impact that this group of young professionals has had an indelible mark of excellence on everything that Richard has ever undertaken. We would like to continue this legacy, therefore; it is the intent of this organization to provide for funding for the building of a meeting room, to be named Chatham Hall. In addition, we will strive to support off-site field training and military education of the Swamp Foxes. In the future, we would like this organization to grow and continue its financial support to more of tomorrows leaders from Marion Military Institute.

The Richard Chatham Foundation was recently contacted by Cadet Ryan Bean, current Swamp Fox Commander and has enlisted the help of his fellow teammates to design and construct "Chatham Hall", a meeting room dedicated to Richard and a "command post" from which to conduct meetings for future Swamp Fox activities. Here is a sample of their progress.
